Yeah I had flu jab on Wed. No side effects, even the upper arm didn’t ache.

I feel a bit hot and sweatt for a day or two after the flu jab, although that could simply be because Nigella is back on the telly.

Today's appointments for my colleagues to receive the first dose of CV19 vaccine were all cancelled. The reason - they have run out of vaccine! This isn't filling me with confidence for getting my second dose, which presumably would mean a return to the start of the process as dose 2 must be administered between 21 and 28 days after the first. This is the predictable shambolic situation surrounding the whole CV19 situation, and one which our great leaders will make sure is not reported by the press.

Well it wouldn’t be the first time a Pfizer product has had such an unexpected adverse (or not) effect

Exactly that. Second guaranteed deliveries are for the first cohort and not for the next group of patients.

We have to remember this rapid deployment is tainted by political noise and commitments are being made ahead of the organisation being in place and the ink on the governance documents not dry!

One of my sons was doing a paramedic course part of which was a stint in A&E at weekends. The were all commercial divers and one job they were given was to administer tetanus injections to the weekend warriors being carted in who thought they were tough guys until they saw the needle approaching. Many of them passed out from fright.

Put it this way, I ALWAYS make sure I have LOTS of local anaesthetic for anything since that day...
This quite aside from putting the local in in the first place!
