In more innocent times it used to be "You will just feel a little prick..." but the nursing training must have changed because they all say 'scratch' now!

Yeah, the “scratch” thing was a puzzler when I first heard it. I had a lot of allergies as a kid, and a lot of shots - one a week for years. Not one of them felt like a scratch.

I work in HR. When anyone says "they're making redundancies but my job is critical and there's no way they can manage without me" it it inevitably results in redundancy a few minutes later
