Christine McVie had a slight Birmingham accent.

I heard that but I thought it was just rumours

Currently watching "Black Crab" and it's working well in English. I do enjoy listening to the strange accents in the Scandi/Icelandic films too. I never thought about it until I saw a FB post about 1899 (which I had watched how it was supposed to have been watched with all the different foreign accents).
I've only just found out today that Facebook is over 120 years old. 😂

Although if I'm honest I'm more likely to believe Albert on this.

I only found out last Christmas that a manger is an animal trough.
I don't know if I ever questioned what it was, or even thought about it. Quite embarassing

So that being the case a farmers wife might well be a

Manger Manager's Manager.

This 'Little boats rescuing the British army from Dunkirk' thing never happened as portrayed in various films about the incident.

Yes, little boats did sail to France, but they were all commandeered by Naval personnel and Coast Guard officers and yes, soldiers were taken off the beach but to be ferried to bigger ships further out and not back to dear old Blighty. The character played by Mark Rylance did exist (his real name was Charles Lightoller) and he did sail to France - but he'd been second officer on the Titanic not some 'ordinary Joe' as portrayed in that film.
