Guinea pigs do not produce their own vitamin C. Most animals do, but not guinea pigs. Humans do not generate vitamin C neither.

This 'Little boats rescuing the British army from Dunkirk' thing never happened as portrayed in various films about the incident.

Yes, little boats did sail to France, but they were all commandeered by Naval personnel and Coast Guard officers and yes, soldiers were taken off the beach but to be ferried to bigger ships further out and not back to dear old Blighty. The character played by Mark Rylance did exist (his real name was Charles Lightoller) and he did sail to France - but he'd been second officer on the Titanic not some 'ordinary Joe' as portrayed in that film.

My friend Dave has a ring and a medal from his father who died a while ago. They were given to him for taking a small pleasure boat that he ran on the Medway to Dunkirk. I was told he came back heavily loaded with soldiers who were very happy to be in his boat.
He did ferry some to Navy ships before the run back.

I think you are right. The man on YouTube said her mother was Swedish, but I expect he was mistaken. I am disappointed she is not half Swedish.

There were quite a few private individuals, including fishermen and a couple of RNLI boats from Margate and Ramsgate. Although they were commandeered, they were indeed brave volunteers. Lightoller's boat (Sundowner) was crewed by himself, his son and a Sea Scout. A lot of the boats ferried to larger waiting ships, but a large number made the runs back and forth the whole way.

When young ladies go out they keep their iPhones down the back of their pants. Last night they kept pulling them out and taking photos of each other.

Is that why so many phones get dropped into toilets or sat on?

A cyclist friend of mine uses 'bra nav'! I asked how she navigates without a GPS and she told me that she uses Google Maps to give her directions from her phone kept deep within her cleavage. It gets her some funny looks on shared use paths...

I've been wearing my old reading glasses for several months. The newer ones only make a difference with very small text, I probably didn't need to buy them.
