Some of the "weirder" Rados are very much an acquired taste. I like "funky" but there's a world of difference between thinking something is rather cool and actually wanting to wear one on a regular basis.

Actually, if you want some really nutty 70s designs, then the bargain basement pin pallet jobbies certainly tick the boxes.

I will have to get back to wearing different watches, I have a few that I used to wear, but my Garmin seems to have took top billing, its worn 24/7

Day-to-day I wear a simple Skagen Grenen and the Rado's are one part of my alternative pension fund.

I have a Skagen as my back up to my Victorinox. The V had to go in for repair and was going to be away all over xmas. I had a couple of old crappy watches in the drawer that needed straps and batteries, but before investing in those I took a quick look in TK MAXX and picked up a skagen for £25. bargain pus I really like it.

 Yeah but If he/she'd said "it is slightly scratched" then I'd know it was a fake!!

You learn about whether a watch is a fake or a franken by doing your homework before you buy.

Even a scratch-resistant watch (case and / or crystal) will pick up a few nicks during use, and tbh, it's unavoidable with a vintage watch anyways. it's not going to detract from its value or aesthetics unless the case is seriously dinged. I wear vintage watches, and it's a fact of life with them.

Hey, I've just had a message in ebay from some guy offering me £400 for my fake watch, the one that doesn't work and is covered in scratches. Think ill have that!

I'd be tempted to have a laugh with him and see if he'll go to £425.

Out of those three Rado watches I linked, I think this one is the most subtle one.

but it has a quartz movement, not an automatic one. Is that bad, or doesn't it matter much? My goldsmith/watch repairs friend told me today that Rado are quite well made apart from the glass on the face which is glued on. He says they'd be better with a bezel to hold the glass in place, but that's how they were designed to be. He said he wouldn't have one, even though he's sold quite a few, as to him they have too much bling about them, but he said he appreciates their appeal to those who do like bling.

I've just had a Rado watches advert on my laptop in between videos. I've never had one before as far as I know. Do the advertisers know who to send these ads to? I thought they just pumped them out to the general population? 🤔

It's picked up from the cookies on your browser, then served to you - like the adverts you get on this forum

The spookey thing is, when you are verbally talking about a product to someone, then that advert turns up on your phone

Strewth! Have you only just noticed? All my pop-up ads are for hats and watches, simply as a result of following a few of your links!
