A pavement parking odyssey

That makes me think of the house owners who according to local gossip have been banned by the council from parking their Mini on a big enough for two small cars drive. According to their neighbour, them reversing out their drive was deemed dangerous to buses that turn at the junction where their house is. I've never seen the car overhang onto the pavement at all, by the way. They always have, or had it well away from the dropped pavement. I'm sure they could do a three point turn on their drive and avoid reversing off. Anyway, they now park on the road and slightly on the pavement right at the buses turning point like a few more do, adding to the problem bus drivers face in turning at that junction! :rolleyes:

i think the term utter twaddle springs to mind

This has been on my commuting route for the past two weeks, so reported today;

And yes, that's a cycle lane it's blocking. Usually blocked by two recovery trucks instead but it appears they simply deposited their cargo.

I should've taken a photo, but to be honest What's the point as it's only me getting all het up. Those who do the evil deed don't give a toss! I'm on about the car I saw 2 hours ago parked fully across a zebra crossing outside a takeaway. The crossing was completely blocked while effing scumbag got their crappy food! Oh, they must have a conscience though as they'd put their hazard warning lights on, to let those attempting to cross the road safely know that they'd created the avoidable hazard in the first place!! :angry:
Taken yesterday at the crossing I mentioned above, at 16.13. That car was there around an hour or so earlier that I know of. I'd say not only is it parked on DO NOT PARK ON zig zags, but it's also blocking the path of mobility scooters and prams! I saw some @##ts working on that left one of the two take-aways in the photo, so I presumed it was theirs.

It’s not been taxed since Dec 2022. Report it here: https://contact.dvla.gov.uk/report-untaxed-vehicle
It’s currently not insured either.

I typed it into a search engine and while the first result was obviously the correct one, I cant repeat it here.

Dunno if i havent mentioned it before but i will say it again, When on lates i take a more well lit route to avoid country lanes at around 1 am as its a bit creepy hearing stuff rustling and crashing though the bushes ;) and regularly the lay byes on the shared path is completely blocked by lorries who have pulled into laybyes right onto the path for the night which forces me into oncoming traffic .As its a dual carriageway its pretty busy even at that time mostly other lorries . Hey i dont mind so much if they left enough room to get through ,
Reported it to the police a number of times but as its on the border of 2 counties both blame each other and nothing gets done .

If it is a photo from a phone with GPS enabled then the phto has the GPS co-ordinates on it
You could use this to argue with them about who is responsible

and if the refuse then send it onto the Chief COnstable - or the Police COmmissioner - whatever they do!

probably a waste of time but you could
