I suggest you don't.If I parked outside my house with all four wheels on the road and the neighbour opposite did the same we'd be committing an offence, we'd be blocking emergency vehicle access.

Not so long as you neither park on the pavement nor block emergency vehicles. And if it becomes illegal to park on the pavement it doesn't matter what we do we commit an offence.

Perhaps parking elsewhere? What do you think the solution might be, while not parking on the footway?

It's a car owners responsibility to park in a safe and legal manner, even if that entails a walk. It is not societies responsibility to endure the consequences of car owner's storage problems.
I haven't a clue
The obvious answer seems to be to apply for a marked disabled parking bay outside of your house. At the moment I'm parking in a safe and legal manner by parking with two wheels just on the pavement but without blocking it, parking elsewhere isn't an option with my Good ladies mobility problems.

I'm sure you have more than a clue.
Assuming the proposal becomes legislation (as it has in Scotland) where would you park your car at home if your neighbour opposite had already legally parked on his side of the roadway?
What you mean is you would choose to park illegally. This is why we need councils to be more responsive and impound cars of those who value their own convenince above all else.I would have no choice but to park illegally.

With respect Dave, that's rot. You have the choice to park farther away and walk, or the choice not to even buy a car.I would have no choice but to park illegally.
