I went on a long ride today. It's the first time I've ever got home to find that my clothes were soaking wet and it hadn't been raining.

Now imagine 32c/94f for about 3 months of the year and you get a Houston summer. Everything has AC, the office, home, car, pub, restaurant, caravan and tent.

You get used to it, you just need to carry a lot of water and as other have mentioned, don't stop.

Pounds, shillings and pence too? Gallons at the petrol pump?
Not sure people would be happy seeing £5-6 at the forecourt though.
What is everyone fusing about, I rode 26 miles to and from Wakefield, and not well to boot on top of that, but its a social group followed by a job club, I have the same tomorrow but the eye clinic seems from the forecast I will get a hand there and back, washed as well by the looks of it.
