Hmmm, thanks for that. Goes to prove there are deals to be had all over the place on all different sorts of bikes. It is frustrating having to wait until April, but hopefully there will be similar bargains out there when I am ready to move on this.
Giant Concept Stores have up to 40% off 2014 models now, although I would think popular Med, Med/Lg, Large & XL sizes might now be low on stock.

Is an off the peg Giant really a bike of a lifetime even if it costs 3k?

Nothing, they are in fact outstanding, Swiss designed & owned, properly professional products.

Apart from the Argon 18 mentioned above, the 2015 Scott Addict 15 (Ultegra Di2) model is my most wanted bike & I am hopeful that the price will come down from £2699 later next year & be available in a 56cm or 58cm size.

Should it get to approx £2200 I will move Heaven & Earth to buy it.
I hadn't heard anything bad, but continually hefty price savings makes you wonder.

My Ridley Excalibur is black with lots of Lion of Flanders motifs on it so black doesn't bother unduly. Got a thing about bikes that are not necessarily mainstream. See very few Ridley's but really like the SL4 Tarmac Pro so open to opinions. That kind of draws me to the Ritte or something similar.
@SteCenturion as one of the OP's early posts  I'd put any Giant (Trek, Specialized, Cube, Focus etc) in the mainstream bucket)

I don't do bike for a lifetime myself, I like change and new shiny things too much. As much as I could buy a more expensive bike, I couldn't justify the depreciation when I start to hanker after something new in about a year!

Thats why I have to keep going through car windows, I can justify a new bike to the Mrs then!
I must admit one of these has caught my eye:

Just have to wait for the insurers to pay out though.

imagine the maintenance costs!:heat:

Don't mind me, just jealous.

I have to say the de rosa titanium is mighty perty but 3k for the frame. I am lucky I only have to justify bike spending to myself but I struggle beyond £1500
