Tapered splined socket fitted to an air impact gun removed one side.Hacksaw and chisel removed the other side.Threads recut and shimano bottom bracket fitted all for £20.well worth the money.Spent some more money on new cables and bits as well.Good service from lbs use them or lose them is my theory.

That is a seriously good price. I don't tend to use my lbs much - but £20 is about 10 minutes labour.

A similar job on a car would be well north of a ton.

Not many cars have bottom brackets.
