I am declaring today, safe in the knowledge that I won't be venturing out on a bike again this year. As per much of the year, high winds and rain have seen to that!

A very poor year for me, mileage about half of what it was 10 years ago. I blame the very poor summer (August saw the lowest monthly miles of the year) and some medical issues (still being investigated).

Conventional pedalling, 1143 miles.
E-bike, 764 miles.
Zwift - doesn't count as it's not possible to cover units of distance while not moving.

Hoping for a better 2025!

Bike miles for me 2172...slightly more than last year I think but way off my 'high years' which I doubt will ever come back as I'm rarely ever commuting now.

On the flip side, I've ran more this year than I ever have - around 300 miles that I know of. It's a slippery slope I know.

Edit: 1100 miles recorded walking with the dog.

2,200 on the solo.

5,500 on the tandem.

Just shy of last year's all time overall record for me, but the latter a record for us by a very long way.

Last cycling pic of the year feat. miserable inland seagulls.

Happy 2025 all!

Not as many as I had hoped as the weather has been so crap this year, especially on weekends which is a pain when working full time mostly from home (and I did have a heart op about 5 weeks ago and I’ve got crappy tennis elbow that needs surgery). I had planned to cycle yesterday, today and tomorrow but I’ve now got a lurgy and feel rough.
2222.8 miles according to Strava so at least some sort of symmetry  seems to be a common approximate total in this Thread!
I‘ve also recorded 108 swims, apparently around 91000 yards, so over 83000 metres.
a longish holiday in Feb/March and elbow op soon thereafter is going to screw me over for cycling next year too! I shall console myself with a new bike 😁

Very poor year for me, almost 50% down on the year before.

In fact, other than two cycling holidays, I basically hardly went out at all.

Must do better in 2025.

Another poor year for riding, started off still recovering from Covid, the longest wettest Spring / Summer for 39 years, trying to pick it up again and finishing the year with 'that lurgy'

Here's to a better next year

Good work folks

Strava says 3680 miles over 386 rides for a total ride time of 305hrs; the most I've covered in any one calender year.

My not-at-all-problematically-OCD spreadsheet suggests that this breaks down into:

2878 miles on the Brompton (mostly commuting / nearly all utility)
720 miles on the Fuji (about 436 miles over 20 rides for utility, the rest for leisure)
73 miles on the Ragley ("leisure" getting something shiny and new covered is crap and stonechips across the fields)

This compares favourably to last year's total of 2684 miles which was split roughly down the middle between the Brompton and Fuji; the use of the former for commuting beginning about halfway through the year..

My highly accurate recording of mileage this year is...quite a few  With good weather each ride is around 50 m with a rest day in between....but Highland weather can be a tad uncooperative so i spin the trainer. Anyhow for me its more about terrain than distance and i often choose a tougher hilly option. As long as strength/endurance is steadily [inexorably- good word that!] improving that'll do me. :okay:
