After four years with my trusty Boardman I have just upgraded to an even sexier new bike, so my faithful Boardman SLR 9.4 Elite is up for sale as I just will not use it. There is no point in it just sitting there in the garage. These bikes were when new absolute top end of the Boardman range and...
Hi,
I'm about to change the 11-32 SRAM cassette on my 2015 Boardman CX for the first time and just wanted to check that this is what I need:

Also, would you advise getting a SRAM chain in the bundle...
Hi all ...
I'm struggling to make up my mind on the group set for my new bike that i will be ordering soon ,it would be interesting to hear from any other owners who have either group sets fitted currently , been watching reviews on both & still unable to make my mind up on what system to go...
Hi,
At the moment I have a full SRAM Force groupset but am looking to get a used Stages powermeter off eBay. There are way more Shimano 105/Ultegra ones for sale than SRAM ones so was just wondering if a Shimano crank will work ok?
Thanks!
After a lifetime of Shimano I have bought a bike with SRAM 1 x 11. After a week of riding I think it's pretty good. Not as slick as the Shimano perhaps but non-the-less perfectly nice to use. The SRAM change method took all of 30 seconds to get the hang of. "Double tap" still seems a bit of a...
i recently bought a 24" bike originally from Germany here for my eight year old. Unfortunately the gears are not working. I think the hub itself is OK and the problem is the cable and the 'click box'. I have found a spare on the SKS site to replace it and I've also got a maintainance PDF from...
I think the 11 speed shimano hub is 2.8mm wider than 10. Just ordered new wheels handbuilt on 105 hubs and I plan to use sram pg1130 cassette - I confess I am a bit confused about whether I will need ...
1mm only (shimano 11 speed cassette would use just 1mm I think?)
1mm + 1.8mm (think this...
Whilst I'm not experiencing any issues, I guess it's probably time to change the gear & brake cables on my Boardman CX. 18 months old and 3500 miles done, I'd like to get it sorted now than experience issues in my winter commutes.
It has SRAM Apex shifters/levers, can anyone recommend a suitable...
Hi
I've worn out the big ring on my Spez Secteur Elite 2011 model, i've had a quick google but am having a bit of an issue finding somewhere where i can just by the outer ring in the UK...
http://www.jensonusa.com/SRAM-ForceRivalApex-10-Speed-Chainring is what i need but i don't really want to...
Sorry for the noob question but what is the basics of changing to SRAM? I got a Vilano Shadow that has STI shifters but the rest is probably the cheapest of Shimano parts. My boyfriend just got me an Avail 2 with Teagra so this would be a second bike. I have seen Sora groupsets for around 350...
Evening all as Sgt Dixon would say. That's someone only us old ones might remember.
After having it in the garage for ages I've started to build up my Trek frame set and seem to have already met a problem.
Ordered a seat post 27.2mm which as I understand it is the correct size and full of glee...
It's the SL-500 model (flat bar) i believe. As usual google's got tons of stuff, but nothing relevant that i can find. With similar looking shifters the thing seems to be to undo the allan nut holding the lever on to the body, but if i do, it just turns and nothing happens. The lever seems as...
As above: Comprising of....

2x SRAM force double tap shifters 11sp
SRAM force rear derailleur

Sram force rear brake calliper
Both including Sram Swissstop pads...
Basically as per the thread title -are there any decent, moderately priced alternative bottom brackets to use as a direct replacement for the SRAM GXP Team.
I know from what @Yellow Saddle has posted in the past that they aren't the best design, and the one on my Planet X needs replacing for...
Was meant to check this out a while back but never got round it it but now looking at my gear inners, they are fraying so change is imminent. Any recommendations for decent outers and inners. For both gears and brakes 1.1mm inners required for SRAM I believe.
Afternoon. Built my Boardman cx from the box a couple of days ago. Was great apart from the fact that the left shifter would not shift onto the big chainring. So took it into halfords this morning and the mechanic (not a kid), said "Give me 20 minutes." 45 minutes and two mechanics later the...
Hello
Spent some considerable time removing the centre fixing bolt, i've had the bike since 2011 i don't think its ever been off before and it took quite a bit of shifting !.
Just to check it should just come out now right ?
I was expecting the calliper to basically fall out but it's...
Hi,
Can anybody please help me the method for installing the non drive crank arm.
The crank is a Sram GXP 2, the bottom bracket is installed along with the drive side but I've not seen this before.
Please see photos.
Many thanks
I had a 105 front derailleur and it was shifting fine cept I wanted to go Dura Ace, so a while back I fitted one and the shifting has became TERRIBLE
I have to really push the shift lever to the right to get it to move onto the bigring!
I can't pull the cable thru any more as its over enough...
Put one of these on an Ultegra chain yesterday after running out of patience with the Shimano pin; realised afterwards that in my sleepy state I fitted it with the arrow pointing rearward.
It didn't want to come off in a hurry, does it really make any difference which way it points?
Hi, I hope someone will be able to help, as seen in the photo I have a very small crank arm/ tyre overlap it's not a big deal as the crank arm pushes over the tyre, but I would like to shave a couple of mm off the tip of the crank arm to give me clearance.
I'm aware that the SRAM Rival OCT is...
