Spent the whole day finishing up and cleaning today, including laying turf and finishing the garden. All ready for the estate agent photos now :becool:

Wow. That came as a bit of a shock to me - just shows how house prices vary by area. My neighbour has just sold their 2 bed house (end terrace) which isn't as nice as yours for £430k. You'd be looking at close to £600k for that round here.

Geezo , 6 bed house just gone on the market round here for offers over £500k !! Just nuts ! Btw it’s an upmarket area as well ! However that’s the difference living up North .

Yeah prices vary massively, even locally. I've tried to price it competitively to get a quick sale - I'm currently paying a decent amount per month on mortgage and bills for an empty house so it works out best to get it gone quickly.

We've then got the house we live in to shift before we can pool our assets and get something together; looking at spending about 450k on a nice size 4 bed detached, ideally one that doesn't need any major remodelling as I'm tired and could do with a break haha

Randomly stumbled upon this thread, cracking work as ever @JhnBssll - read back a bit and I know how you feel about losing interest in a project. I had it the other way around, did up a house which was pretty much a ruin over about 7 years only for my wife to decide she wanted to move to the coast about a month after I'd finished. We are no longer together.

Totally randomly, I've been after a clock similar to the big one in your living room - would you mind letting me know where you got it?

Also I think your pictures are better than the estate agent ones!

Thanks mate, appreciate it 👍

The clock is from amazon, it's this one but I didn't use all the stickers 😅

Fab, thank you!

I was also wondering about the A/C units. Not that common on residential buildings like that I didn't think?

Had them on my old house, got them going in the new Drago Towers on Friday. Mrs D has MS and can be quite poorly if she overheats. Also they work in reverse as very efficient heaters, so during the winter I can economically heat a single room when Im home on my own during the day.

I'll snap some pics as they go on, although I won't be doing the install. The rhythmist in our band has his own firm installing them so does hem for me at mates rates, bless him,
