In a previous life, my department used to provide security and ushers for the (big green) bank's AGM. It was a jolly overnight in London, usually at the Barbican or somewhere similar and provided a nice change from the daily dealing with fraud and hold-ups. We were told to look at the shoes of anyone attending, in particular the younger ones, as they were a dead giveaway for the 'one-share protesters'. I always felt more than a little guilty about the whole process and more than a little sympathy with the protesters... and after 25 years on the outside feel so much better for it!
