Anyone else doing catch up rides at the weekend? 4,5 and 6 for me. I did a threshold endurance workout today, overs and unders really and legs feel tight , but will spin tomorrow to loosen in prep for the weekend.

Think I'll give it a miss (having already completed all 7  ) I really should do a simple spin though tomorrow to try and relieve the pain. Good luck doing those 3 in 2 days ..... go for the finish, not the times!

To be honest although I want to finish the tour I also want to get out on the road and what I do will depend on the weather. Not looking good though.
Dean, I would offer to join you on stage 7 and bump up the numbers but it will be a while before I throw myself at the Pretzel again, probably the week before the Pyrenees trip.

Just because you're 45 mins ahead of everyone else doesn't mean you have to beat Jeff and Carl up further :okay:
you know its a course where power trumps lightness - i am guessing there wont be as many in the re-run so there will be no where for me to hide - doubt very much if it will be faster as i bank on being dragged along the flats
- did you do another tt this week ?/how did you get on /have you tweeked set up
got all the stuff now to go tubeless on 1 bike - do you suggest putting tyre fully on and pouring the goo into the valve or pouring into tyre just before clipping last bit

I did, at first it was bloody frightening, being blown across the road. I rode more central which meant riding over the rougher chippings. I was slower than last week, but faster than my age group competition. I wasn't really mentally up for it worrying about the wind, so quite surprised/pleased being only 20 secs slower.

.I prefer the latter., you need to slowly rotate the wheel so liquid goes to the opposite side where you have to pop the last section of tyre on. Don't rest the wheel on the floor or liquid will ooze over the rim. Through the valve is cleaner but slower(syringe from chemist 5-10 mil size). Have you got access to a compressor?
It's the burst of air which pops the tyre onto rim 70 mil of sealant even for road tyres

It's a close run thing, .The climbs are just short enough and not steep enough for you to get too much of an advantage, the descents are big enough for me to get a lead before the second climb .It is a course where using the draft of a pack on the descent and run into the finish give a good time
