Similarly to @Whorty I suspect i'll be back pm zwift shortly, just keen to explore some of the free apps for a little while and the timing works with the annual renewal. I'll still be about here as I have no life

What happened with Bkool? I remember a lot of you using it years ago, but then I hid the indoor cycling forums. When I looked back in here a few months back it seemed that it is mainly Zwift now.

Sorry. I was being a smartass. This forum is a group that split off the Bkool forum. ( https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/team-bkool-cyclechat.144689/page-4530#post-7344377 ).
Please disregard the above post.

Edit: I do ride in Zwift also. Just not that often. Mostly Rouvy and Bkool with Training peaks. The king of multi platforms is @Brusgaard

It went through a long period of providing huge advantage to its own Bkool turbo and dis advantaging every other trainer on the market. Then there were endless software bugs which made riding on the platform extremely frustrating to say the least.

Then many moved over to Zwift, which had its own, albeit tiny issues.

Zwift had the big numbers of riders, so there was and is always someone to compete against.

Bit annoyed with myself. Needed to do a 90+ minute ride on Sunday (and wasn't going outdoors again after freezing my extremities off on Saturday's ride) so I looked at the long route for Tour de Zwift. Zwift Hacks suggested I hadn't done that course (Snowman) and while it wasn't ideal terrain for me, having the trifecta of Mayan, Itza and 2nd half of the Grade back-to-back, I thought at least it'll cross off a badge and I might have some company for the ride.

Crossed the line after 1h 34 of struggle, but didn't get a course completion bonus for some reason. Then checking on Strava, it says I got a PR for the course. Turns out I had already done it six months ago, but it was such a horrible experience I'd put it out of my mind completely and not ticked the box for a completed route.

Looking back, I can understand why. My first attempt was a race where a grand total of three people turned up. Two in A, and me in D. The only time I saw either of the other riders was during the first half mile! At least on this occasion there were over 400 riders present, even if most of them were overtaking me.
