I was checking Steve's ride, he actually had a slightly better climb than me, but I had a stronger return.
Strava segment comparison shows you leapt out to a 10 second lead over me at the start of the climb, but I then (very) slowly eked it back over the entire second half, eventually overtaking you with only about 200 metres to go.

I actually managed a slightly higher wattage on the flat return than on the flat outbound, which was a surprise. Okay there was very little in it (255 vs 252) but it shows I didn't slack off even when I knew I couldn't catch the guy in front.

I've dragged a TT bike up the radio tower and Bologna and failed 😂 there the other 2 times I've hit 99

I originally got the 100km badge by first getting an aero powerup, then climbing radio tower on a climby bike.
Then change to a TT bike with disc wheel at the top. Give it the beans and hit the aero just before the sharp left turn where it's steep

In the absence of drafting effects, it is considerably faster on Bologna to ride underpower on the first 6km, overstretch on the climb, freewheel and recover on the descent, and push as hard as possible back to the line.

Because drafting was on yesterday, I wanted to get a 20 sec lead, but had to advertise my tactics  I would have gladly sacrificed draft for a TT bike, that would have given me extra flat speed

20 second would have kept me just in contact with a couple of other riders on the return offering ,e a chance to hunt them too. I like Bologna with the return leg. I know there is a glimmer to catch some of the lighter riders.
