Horrendous, bloody horrendous. Wouldn’t have it any other way would we! 😅

Well done all 👍👍

I didn’t feel nearly as good as Saturday, but I just about managed to redeem myself by dropping the group at the foot of the final climb and I held them off until the line to pinch 21st

Roll on the summer!

Nice one @<Tommy> - sounds like a strong ride.

I found it tough. Think I finished 63rd out of 68 😭

Clearly lots of work for me to do - I didn’t expect to end up in as poor condition as this!

I have decided to change tack and train for a 10 mile TT. Going to enter an open event at Goodwood race circuit so got an event to target and train for.

So lots of sweet spot and threshold efforts coming up for me. Hoping that by doing a new discipline I won’t have anything to compare to and be miserable about!

Well done @Tommy , I was in a small group and going quite well on the first two hills and then lost contact and spent most of the second half on my own . Got to last hill and was struggling but saw @Del C charging up from behind , he was over 1 1/2 mins back at started of hill and got to about 20 seconds by the line . If the last couple of hundred metres had kept climbing and not flattened out Del , you’d have got me , great finish 💪..

That was pretty tough but I genuinely loved every minute.
Went off hot, lead group and told myself to calm down . Promptly fell off back to 79th out of 86. Game plan worked and clawed my way back to finish 30th, largely solo effort up each climb. 19s off a largish group. Perhaps I should have gone harder at the start? Who knows eh? Cramping a bit now so off to drink some gerkin juice 😁
Favourite race so far.
1;25. 12 I think.
Well done all! 😂

I think you got 60th mate - I as about a minute behind you in 61st according to Zwift.

I certainly didn't feel right for the first couple of climbs and then settled in for the long haul. Was nice that Nick joined me for the last half of the race before shooting up the final climb! Maybe he won't be able to beat my non aero fully ladened road bike TT debut time of 25:53 for 10 miles and I will have the last laugh

Horrible night on the bike, but I'm a lover not a fighter, or is that a rouleur not a climber?

Sounds like @<Tommy> had a great race and I saw @bridgy wasn't too far behind. Well done everyone else on that course - it is pretty taxing.

Well that was a weirdly enjoyable end to the league! Really glad there is a mix of courses as I would never have joined that race.

I think I saw everyone in our team at some stage @Legs only briefly at the start as he flew ahead and finished an amazing 5th in his last race as a super B.

@bobinski I met after the first climb, you were cutting through the field whilst I fell back. Briefly had a tow from @straas as well before I realised I was holding you back!

I actually paced it pretty well in the end as on the last climb I reeled in a group ahead and sprinted to "win" 55th our of 77. Really pleased with that as on the companion app I'm actually the lowest w/kg in the whole race. So lightweight setup worked well for my strategy.

Thanks to everyone that took part for 68, really Great team and lots of great cameos from lots of you lads. :notworthy:

That was a lot of fun 🤩
It’s all a bit of a blur but three went up the road on Leith and we never saw them again, I was in a small group for fourth coming onto Fox, but one guy got away and I just couldn’t peg him back. Really happy with fifth and a hatful of primes, just got to see how that shakes out in terms of points and positions.

It has been really fun riding with you guys, a real honour to be part of a team with such strong camaraderie. You all (68, 23, and CCC) deserve a good break from the Tuesday evening madness; I’ll be following your exploits in season 4!

I could see you ahead of me with one of the guys from my team and I was thinking I could catch you. But as you said, it flattened and I got as close as I was going to - I think about 10s behind my team mate and around 15s behind you. That really didn’t seem likely when I was 1.5 minutes behind you coming off Keith Hill.

I rode to a plan. Got to the bottom of the first Fox climb with the main group and then aimed to ride at a cadence of 90-95 on each climb and a power around my FTP at 258w, and then just super tuck and rest as much as I could on the descents.

PBs on every climb and hit my targets for cadence and power on every climb except Keith Hill, where my power dropped to around 230w. I think that must have been because of a flat section as I certainly rode it as hard as the others.

Came in 51st. Made up around 10 places from the first climb up Fox and 4 of those were between Keith and the final climb up Fox.

Really enjoyed that course. I’ve been doing a coaching plan and its starting to feel like its making a difference. Cadence is much better and higher and I’m holding my power much better over a race. I was only 1 second slower up Fox the 2nd time than the 1st climb. If I can get a bit more sustained top end power, I may have a shot at further improvement.
