300 watts for an hour 20. Impressive.
the ZP says I average 280w Randy. But who am I to argue with your opinion 👍😄

@<Tommy> - if @bridgy finishes lower in the field on Tuesday than he did today, would it be a valid excuse for him to claim that it is to be expected considering that today was an open field B event and Tuesday is a ranked league event with the second highest tier of B riders?
If he can't claim that then I look forward to the points haul from your top five finish on Tuesday![]()
Flattery will get you everywhere!😄
I’m not sure where to go with that. Hopefully I don’t have too much expectation on me now! 😬
My power is down from this time last year but that’s as good as I’ve put out in a few months. I said the other day that these courses are as much about the field as the hills. Regarding Tuesday I’m not really sure what to expect field wise to be honest. In the first series I was at the front in the races over similar terrain to this and it was normally the same 10 or so guys fighting. But this time I’ve not really been on that level so I don’t know what to expect. But I think I’d have to be happy with top 20 even though that sounds a bit defeatist...
But one ever present is @bridgy... Who’s doled it out to me enough times to say the least! And sometimes I get the better of him. I know as we both have the same turbo etc he’s a great barometer for me and how it’s going. And any time I sneak ahead of him is always a good sign!
Averaged 280 but with several minutes doing zero watts down those hills of coursethe ZP says I average 280w Randy. But who am I to argue with your opinion 👍😄

Wow, well done @Ketty - that's Double Devil levels of epic-ness! How was the weather for you because it was really awful here on Sunday? The Struggle: Dales yesterday. Thanks for all the advice a while back chaps. Got it done and am chuffed with the time/ave speed. @Brendan Parker thanks for the info![]()

Yeah I agree and this was my real life experience too when I did the recon races SteveHe only briefly hints at it in the article, but I've seen Eric from ZwiftInsider mention it in a bit more detail before, that his tests aren't trying to be perfect representations of races. When he does the tests, he disconnects Zwift from the internet, so there's no draft advantage or getting stuck in someone else's sticky draft; the bot he uses keeps to a constant wattage with no surges or attacks to deal with; and it continues to pedal downhill at the same watts, no freewheeling or super tucking are available.
In a real race, people are going to attack on hills and take it easy on descents, meaning the Tron's advantage is probably still there, but it's not as clear cut as maybe the empty course stats suggest.
