I bailed too after a goodish start.lungs and HR fine but my oh my, did my legs hurt despite 25m of easy spinning beforehand:blush: . I hate getting older and having to balance pushing yourself and needing more recovery time.

Wanted to do about 50+miles on zwift today so did the pretzel, but my saddle sores were making them selfs known so managed 46 miles going to give the saddle a miss for a couple of days so they ease off a bit.

Ouch... I'm a week off the bike now and still feeling rough... reckon it's gonna be a few more weeks of rest

Missed the club TT sign on, damnation. Pushed hard home just before the heavens opened up, so a blessing really.
I'm planning on doing the full Pretzel Monday or Tuesday- final training

A rather unexpected win the in the uncategorised KISS Americas race yesterday around the Watopia Figure of 8 :becool:

One of my KRT team mates streamed the race from his perspective but he was dropped on the forward kom about 35 mins in. If you jump to 44:11 he switches view to watch the lead group finish from 1k. The commentary is a little biased though

It doesn't show my pain throughout though. A 3:50 up the reverse kom which actually felt ok and a punishing pace left me not feeling good before the forward kom. Somehow I only just managed to cling on to four riders and smashed by PB by four seconds with a 1:50 :becool: putting out 411 watts (70kg) @5.87 w/kg.

The full video is quite interesting if you have a spare 45 mins, as he commentates and points out what he is thinking etc. Might be useful for some.

A guy in the lead group also recorded it

with commentary overlaid from my krt team mate in other video. If you want to see the forward climb and my struggle to keep up jump to 31 mins. Edit:- I'm only just hanging on so not so visible.

Interesting to see the video n compare the stats, Lukman looked to be on the ragged edge a lot. Great result and sprint finish perfectly timed.

Excellent racing there! Great consistent watts.
Reminds me of the odd evenly matched races/finishes in bkool we sometimes had, especially the handicaps. Really looking forward to closed races in Zwift one day.
