Preliminary ZRS movements for the D pen. Also captured your TD settings which it can do if you grab the result straight after a race (it disappears later).

It changed after another guy finished.

And one more - surely that's it now?

How about one of each type? A flattish race ending in a sprint, an undulating one where riders are getting dropped, a very hilly selective one... Maybe a time trial, a group social ride, and so on...

I was looking at some numbers and they were suggesting that I might be able to beat 1 hr 30 mins for AdZ but I would be very surprised (and delighted!) if I could.

I reckon that long hill climbs might be my favourite type of Zwift ride but we will have to see. I always had a thing about timing myself up the local Cragg Vale climb. That is a long continuous climb for the UK - just over 8 km. It averages about 3.4%, but with a ramp at around 9-10% in the middle. What makes it frustrating is that wind is almost always a big factor. Usually that is not at all helpful, but on the one day that you think you are going really well you stop at the top and discover that you'd had a gentle tailwind all the way up! Zwift would remove the wind factor and make progress (or lack of it!) obvious.

I've ridden both real Alp and Zwift's When riding at Z2 pace, times were comparable. I had a windless warm day when I did it in real life

I thought I had a chance for a podium, I kept gapping the others on the short ramps. But no, they were being kind to me- then left me for dead up the final climb.

Phil's getting close to being promoted. He's already promoted on general categories

I think me and Andy got worked over by teammates tonight ,riders in 3rd,4th and 5th all in the same jersey kept going off the front one at a time so we had to keep closing gaps . The guy who won just sat in all race b@|£@|d 😂, who just went on the last climb I kicked on the last steep bit and as it leveled he kicked at 10w/kg double b@#£_|d 😂 but managed 2nd, The guy who came 3rd it's only his 2nd race on zp and has a ZRS of 340 + ?

In the end though I attacked a couple of times but he was holding on, so I just drafted him, saving energy for the final smashy smashy.
We got the to the final Sgurr South climb and I lit the afterburners on the steep section, getting a 5s lead very quickly. Then i just held on as best I could to maintain the lead.

My plan A was to get away with Flopera, hold on and get a gap, but I couldn't catch him after the Clyde Kicker

The other Alex was in a difficult position, really. Not much else he could have done apart from maybe push really hard on the drag up to the final climb in the hope of damaging my finish power. He can destroy me on a long climb, but none of these were long enough for him.
I appreciate the 'as best I could', but what's with the <200W bits on the final climb? If you'd been able to settle down to, say, 320-350W for the full duration of the last climb, you'd have been close to reeling Flopera in.

I did the Attack the Bunch workout earlier in the week, and, although the efforts are submaximal, it's a really good one for developing 2-3 minute power and definitely one that's going to go into my regular rotation.

I think we can do that between us. At one point or another, someone has had a great race they've recorded

I kept thinking we had dropped 2 of them, they would fall back nearly 50 metres, then come back. They did well, only you were the fly in their ointment :okay:

What a despicable intelligent thing to do

Phil you did 3.4 today, which is the same as I did this morning (although I was the bell-end in my race )

Did you see the way he left me for dead on Clyde Kicker?
Did you see the way he killed us all two weeks ago?

He's beating me at every metric. Look at all that red. Once he was gone on Clyde Kicker, he was gone.

To be honest he wasn't even on my radar. It wasn't until afterwards that I even realised I'd closed the gap a bit. I wanted to beat Alex Silva - and the way to beat him was to smash the crap out of the steep part, get and take a lead.

I need to do something to raise my level so I can sprint and recover better when closer to threshold. That much I agree with you on. Flopera is in a different class, really - don't forget Alex and I are both below 500, but we stayed here because of the League.
