Yeah definitely notice stronger long term power riders in cats, generally in crits though still competitive but any medium to long climbs and I am left for dead. I've noticed a few riders with zwiftpower scores below 100 in B races recently which I don't remember becore

I noticed, which I think Paul and others have also noticed, there are much more powerful riders within each category.

Im going for stage 3 Bag the Badge at 10am today.-Anyone in C fancy joining me?
Might be on the start line , not sure if I'm racing it ,been off the bike for 2 days with a back issue so will see how I feel

I hate bloody Microsoft. When they do an update it screws basic settings up. Just managed to get online with Zwift before race. My mouse setting were reversed, the hide toolbar disabled.

Pre race stress is all I need ^_^
My graphics card drivers are causing me Zwift pain at the moment - every so often they'll go cock-a-fanny and I'll have to disable and re-enable the drivers in order for the HDMI link to work for my telly. I've made the mistake of deleting the drivers before, which causes massive stress and is an excellent way of getting adrenaline hit before a race!

Recently, though, more often than not I'm doing a "couples' workout" ;) with Mrs L, so I'll just run Zwift on the laptop screen and we'll watch something on iPlayer on the big screen.

I saw your go long effort, only just seen the message you posted with about 1km to go (watching video)

. I was on the ragged edge by this point. Had nothing for a burst of power, just held 400s upto the finish with the lead pack

I expect for the next 4-8 weeks my seasonal asthma will begin to restrict my racing. I'll still do outdoor stuff (Ebike), just low intensity whilst my breathing is limited

Think the race winner owes me a beer ,not sure they would have caught him/her if I hadn't gone when I did , breakaway rider finished 4 secs down but was just rolling over the line having been caught

Must confess, even though I have zero chance of winning now it is nice to be forced to work hard the whole race. Yesterday I was right at my limit the whole way even though it was a relatively flat course. nothing in the legs at the end for a sprint, but staying with the lead pack to the final 500 metres was pleasing given I'm not racing much currently.

Like you though, as soon as the road goes up and I can't suck wheels anymore then I'm dropped like a lead balloon

Apparently there is a summer ZRL coming up. Anyone interested?

ZP rankings for strong C riders are low 200s to high 100s. I'm currently around 280, due to doing Tiny races last weekend (always bump ranking). I'm finding getting into top 10 a struggle now.

When did the update kick in for categories? Or it maybe I'm just getting slower

I think it was summer/autumn time last year. Feels like the bottom 10/20% of B's are now racing in C (and when I was in D the top of D was same as the bottom/mid C). I'm assuming top B races are now also full of those who used to be A? Seems though that the A races are pretty sparse now with very few riders which must be dull. At least we still have decent sized fields and the races are competitive.
