Great stuff! Was that all cats starting together? As the strongest rider in the race, you stand a much better chance of winning that type of race, when you can ride on the coat-tails of the As, rather than having to break away solo!
a.k.a. The Pack Gobbler ChallengeA little competition
See who can beat this, I was 245th as I crossed the start of the Titans Kom. I finished the race 151st
Gained 94 places, see who can better the amount of places
He’s not, he’s a solid A, it’s one of those TdZ rides where the letter denoted the length of the event, not the category. His channel is well worth a watch! There is no way he was a C cat. He was knocking 4-5Wkg for long periods
That's the type, yes. I love them because there's always someone to chase - unlike when all pens are staggered and 5 minutes in everyone calms down. I guess by A standards they have slowed down, but I had to push - managed about 33km with the front A group before they dropped me and I had 8km to go with a 3:30 advantage over 2nd place. I think I was the only B that kept up with As up the Yorkshire KOM - but that's about a 2 min. effort, which now is kind of my thing.Great stuff! Was that all cats starting together? He and I had a bit of a ding-dong battle in the first series of Zwift Hill Climbs last summer - I beat him in the first three, then he thrashed me on the Epic and Alpe!
I did Februarys came 19th overall just pipping Lizzie Armistead (it's Lisa actually ) 😁I remember that. Are you still doing them? I've not done one for a couple of months.
I haven't since the first series. My form wasn't great when I came back from the States in August, and they're the kind of races that you don't want to be doing unless you're firing on all cylinders. Same goes for Bologna TTs.I remember that. Are you still doing them? I've not done one for a couple of months.
Hi @mjd1988 - I was thinking of looking to join a team for that. We could both try and get into the same team? And any other B cat riders who want to join us? Similar tim to the ZRL races (6.30ish) would suit me but I'm flexibleAll this talk of cat systems, anyone doing the dirt series?

All in all, I had a good weeks training – 10 hours on the bike including the 2.5hr cycle up to Teide base (Hotel Paradores) ….And another interesting 31 minute climb (30ish hairpins ) near Adeje on a different day - some little whipper snapper Remco has the KOM of 19 minutes.
