I've just agreed my 2024 Goals with my Coach and he's sketched out the high level Plan for me. I've attached it below as 1. It makes me more accountable and 2. I think some of you will find it of interest....

Performance Goals
Achieve FTP of =>280W by end April – measure using 30 min test
5 min average power to be =>380w by end of April
30s min average power to be =>750w by end May (race finishes)
1 min average power to be =>600w by end of June (crossing gaps)
Maintain CTL of =>100 for the months of June and August

Roy asked me to do a 1 min max power test this week during my 2.5 hr Endurance ride. In the end I did 2 x 1 min efforts and 1 x 30 sec effort - two of them timed to coincide with Strava Segments I have been chasing.

I managed 711W for 30 secs and 551W for 1 min - which compare to season targets (above) of 750W and 600W respectively, so getting within reach. In the process I smashed my PRs on the 2 segments, getting a 2nd and 3rd in the All time Leaderboards - so all in all, quite a successful ride.

You have a great opportunity to test out your 1-3 minute power later tonight on the KOM!

Squeezed in Tour de Zwift short course Innsbruck. This includes the 20+min climb. Then up leg snapper onto the finish. Felt really quite odd going up the climb, couldn't get the HR up and struggled with power. Half thought of retiring, managed to get over the crest. I thought I would try and wake my body up by surging on the less steep sections. Aided by sauce's gradient profile, I could time my efforts speed up on the flat sections. This worked, a pack of us heavier riders swept up probably 20+ riders on the descent.

Leg snapper, I held decent power, gapped most of my pack, got pipped by one rider and caught another over the line.

109th from over 350 starting

Hi Andy - what's the Sauce gradient profile thing you mention? I use Sauce but don't know what that is/does? Cheers...

Hi Paul. Alex created a little video on this thread I believe on how to create a new tab to display the route profile. It also shows the lap markers.

Alex has also using some development mod which goes even further on improving the functions

See if Alex can quickly find the post. Only a few weeks ago

Question for everyone who raced tonight , Why are starts so fast ?, The course has an obvious selection point the climb yet everyone races full gas too it . Would the results be much different if everyone cruised to the bottom then the race kicked off
