I did a race in B SISU Tour stage 1 as it was well populated and was pleased to hold onto the front pack for 25 minutes (about half).
It turns out that the range of ability in B is so wide it isn't even funny. On Zwiftracing.app the categories in my race went from platinum (6) to Ruby(2), representing about half of the overall range.

ABCD categorisation is so shite.

One pen, mass start FTW. Every other system is flawed - including the metals/gemstones - the DIRT racing series is an absolute bore fest, because everyone is so equally matched.

I did the Col Des Arivas, slightly longer. I was trying out my lungs, started off casual and went a bit too deep, but my lungs cleared up afterwards. Still way off fitness from early part of year, its usual with my seasonal asthma around this time.

Didn't realise there were multiple climbs ... I'll have to see if I can do some more this week

On the topic of climb portal... I noticed today that Zwift didn't give me a time when I went up the hill in zone 2 - and it also only gave me 10XP power ups on that attempt (through every single banner). Almost like it was saying: 'You're not trying mate'.

When I picked up the pace on next attempts - everything worked as expected.

Worth noting, in the 5 ascends I got the 250XP bonus on random banners, 5 or 6 times - so their probability is increased.

I did it this afternoon too ... set trainer reality to same as outside bike for a real feel of gradient .... lots of ouchy! Strava has the segment at 12:10 for me. With what's going on for me this month I don't know how many of these I'll get to do, but I really enjoyed it.

Perversely looking forward to see how difficult it'll be to try and grind up with 100% difficulty. Will do me good

I tried that with Chasing Tour, although they did split pens which didn't quite work as well as FRR starts.
Didn't really work for me. Don't need the race ruined in the first 5 minutes. I already know I'm not as good as Joakim or Josh.

You talking about the summer individuals series I presume? Since you didn't take part in the team series (which was the most fun racing I've ever had). If it's that boring for you, just race up a Cat.

I think its still random, I got 2 feathers and 1 250XP and a few nothings

It's not ruined - people just finish before you do ;)

Yeah the individual series. Technically, I did race up a category, but yeah, could have gone one higher still.

It was never random. By default it's 25% for feather, 25% for van, 20% for aero, 29% for small XP, and just 1% for big XP. I went through 50 banners today and got the big XP 10-12% of the time, so something is up. Or maybe I should play the lottery today?

When I did the Aspin this morning, I’m pretty sure my time didn’t display when I went through the arch, so I’ve only got my Strava time to go on. I’m pretty sure my time from arch to arch was well under 40 minutes, though my Strava segment time shows 40:03. Bit annoying…

If it's not fun, do something else, like I will be.
I don't like not finishing stuff I started. Especially if I can win ;) But will definitely skip routes that look boring.
How are you getting on with your chain waxing?
Oh, it's beautiful. No more chain tattoos, no more mucky cassettes. Never going back.

That's exactly what happened to me on the first ascent. I had the two climb menus on right and left, but not at the top, and then when I reached the finish, no time was registered on Zwift. But after descending, getting out of the portal, doing 180, and getting back in - everything worked just fine.

I totally get that. Even though I didn't get on well with Chasing Tour, I did all the Classics races that I could because I had intended to do them all.
Climber's Gambit tomorrow in DRS SoC. ISTR you became a B "for reals" on that route last year.

It really is. Excellent. Very pleased to hear that.

Sounds like a bug then.
