I don’t think it’s possible to get PD absolutely right, but I think this is probably more realistic. There’s a few complaints, especially on the Zwift forum posts when it was being trialled, but I think these are coming either from people who’d learned to ride PD3 effectively, or just from guys who are going to moan whatever new solution is put in front of them.
Yep - that's my take on it too. Although when they first started experimenting there were a LOT of complaints about people getting spat out of the pack and then finding it impossible to get back. They tweaked it more after that.
I thought it was a bit tougher at the back. It definitely reduces churn in the pack, so you’re not continually flying off the front and then drifting to the back. I thought I had to apply power more consistently as a result and my pedalling felt smoother and more even through the ride.
I've found it a bit harder, but only tried it in Tiny races so far and those are not representative, being VO2max efforts.
It will. I expect the people who have got really good at PD3 will moan like hell for a while until they find how best to play this iteration. It will change the way people ride and race, so I guess I’ll have a better view when I race next. I’m doing the TTT tomorrow so it’s going to be interesting to see how it affects that.
If I get back from London in time, I may jump on the new Zwift tour for April and try out PD4. I presume it's operational on all events now?
You can't get away from it now. It's global for everything.

Does the latest update including PS4 only affect PC users ,that's how I read it
No PD4 is a server-side function and is not related to the update. They said on the Zwift forums yesterday that it was only mentioned in the release notes because this change is happening at the same time as the new software version.
