It's a shame we can't create Team events ourselves as that would make it easier.

I think we need to be a huge membership to allow options like that. We are around a dozen dedicated to Zwift.

I'm not really quite sure what problem we're seeking to solve?
There are a couple of options within clubs. Anyone (above level 20?) can start a club and create club events. Any club owner can add moderators who can create events. I started a club a while back just to explore the facility. I haven't invited anyone to join it as it was only for experimental purposes, but I do use it for my elevation profile maps to get the exact distances from the start pens.

When you set up an event you can share the link with people and they don't have to be "members" of your club to take part (or you can set it to "members only"). The events are private and won't appear on ZP though. (There is a way to get an event on ZP, but there's not much point for our sort of thing).

I've signed up for a mad long race today 1030 in the Chasing Tour series. Someone stop me.
Big Foot Hills 70km - should take a bit over 2 hours I think. Slightly less if it goes well.

I like this series because it's using zwiftracing.app instead of ABCD categories.
Effectively I'm in a B pen, but 51st rated rider of 88, so about mid-pack. Half expecting to be spending some time alone on this one though.

I did that route on Thursday in the ToW - only at Endurance Pace and I quite enjoyed it. It took me 2:09 with not a lot of drafting so I reckon you'll easily beat 2hrs. Enjoy.

Excellent. It's mostly flat too, so hope I can find someone to grupetto with
I haven't done a recon ride though, but snagged the profile from Strava

01:54:25 34th of 44 finishers in the B pen (which was Gold 1-3 on ZR.app). Of 88 signups, that's a poor turnout. Nor sure how many just didn't show up and how many DNFs. It was all pens same time starts and Joakim Lisson was in pen A. So it's not surprising I couldn't hold the fast group. I didn't bother recording as nobody wants to watch a 2 hour video (even me ). Although the auto-capture did grab my finishing sprint.

I had a draft powerup so was forced to wait for someone else to go rather than go early which I generally prefer. It worked a treat though. I outsprinted everyone in my group just before the line. I enjoyed that a lot more than I expected. I was in a gruppeto of 9 most of the race. At least two of those were from the A pen about 4 from B and the rest C. I got away on Titans Grove reverse and Zwift KoM, but they caught back up with me both times (not before I'd dragged back the guy in front both times though - to grow our merry little band).
