'Twas a hard one, eh @Norry1? I've overdone it and had very little left for the second hill.

Yep I did find that tough. It was at the end of a hard training week for me as well which showed in my power output.

The results pages are pretty comprehensive but you need the Enigma codes to understand them all

Very comprehensive and can be confusing, agree.

Looks like results from all 8 time slots are now updated for the TT. I had 72nd place in HAB (oof!), Phil 46th in CAY and you 53rd in JLP. I lost a minute going up that hill the second time.

After two stages I'm 42 in GC in my cat and Phil 36th in his. So @13 rider is doing objectively better than me :okay:

Not sure about stage 3 my legs are in bits
It gets better. Today shouldn't be too bad. It's basically 32k of riding in the blob, with a few kicks, followed by an uphill finish.

One more week of Race Makuri to go (which is meant to be a double-header race of Twilight Harbour and Valley to Mountaintop) and the current CycleChat standings look like this:

@Norry1 is unlucky in having his results split equally between C and D categories, so really should be in third place with a time of 2:18:53.

Surely the most important thing in that table is the gold cup that one particularly talented rider has won

If the double header is like last month's you can ride them separately. I did both back to back ,1st full gas 2nd just got round . I then did the 2nd round again separately fresh and improved my time . Not against the rules but maybe against the spirit of the event

Dust in the Wind yesterday. Gravel bike swap for the jungle section. I lost 10s on the lead pack doing the 2 swaps, but I was already 13s down to start with. The flip-side is I gained 41s on the 3 guys I was with when I first swapped, then managed to iTT home the remaining 25km and beat them by more than a minute to hold my 7th place. I think bike swapping for the jungle is really worthwhile, but I might not have bothered if I'd been in the lead pack as I'd be throwing away the draft. I only saw one other guy swap (for an MTB) and he caught the lead pack and got bronze.

It was a big effort, but strangely, I enjoyed it, even though more than half of it was on my own. The WICR is a bit of a pissing contest (but fun), so glad to have got three top-10 places in 3 of the gold events (longer and bigger points). Should mean top 20-ish points overall in the C+ category for November. (Currently 24th - Hivey is 4th but with yesterday's races still to be updated).
