The sweet taste can be very relieving to feeling lack of energy. Actual glucose entering the blood stream is around 15-20mins.

With buccal absorptive technique, how much glucose passes into the blood stream? I can't help think it would be extremely difficult to keep sufficient volume against the cheek wall whilst breathing near maximum rate

That was a tough hour and 17 minutes 🥴

A great result in the end for the team - we came 2nd and secured 2nd place in the league. The best team won but we pushed them hard for sure!

We had a plan to drop back as a team before the 7km long Fuego Flats segment and the TTT to catch back up in order top try and secure FTS points. We had to re-think this plan on the fly because the group split up on the Titans Grove KOM and never came back together, and just me, Bram and Michael were in the front group. So all three of us dropped off the back before the segment, sprinted back on and sat in until the sprint at the end of the segment - worked well as we got 7th, 8th and 10th FAL but 1st, 3rd and 5th FTS :okay:. Nice team work guys :okay: And congrats on the 2nd in the league

We were 4th on the night, and 4th in the league. Which considering there are some really strong C riders, some of the top ranking on Zwift, we're well chuffed with that result.

Ah our long segment plan actually worked really well. It was only 4-5 seconds we were dropped by but anything extra would have been overkill and we still all managed some FAL points as well. Surprised more people didn't drop back.

Well done CCC as well

What a smart strategy Paul, laying off the back of the pack at the start of a climb for a while, sprinting back on when the pace hasn't really got going. Then staying with the leaders over the crest for fastest time:okay:. That takes some supreme confidence and talent :notworthy:
