But don’t send picture to missus - she might get the hump like mine did

Nice stop for a bite to eat?

Will you be having a crack at cingles?
I can recommend the pizza at chalet reynard

Can't decide about the Cingles. May start and just see how I feel.

I went out to do it around 5-6 years ago and got stomach cramps the night before. Didn't think I'd manage one ascent but managed the Malaucene side and descended to Bedoin. Got about 7km up from Bedoin and just completely died and limped home around the side of the mountain, where the road peaks at about 480m.

In some ways its like unfinished business. In other ways. I don't want it to dominate the week and detract from all the other rides and the social side of things. So, I think I'll probably just see how I feel on the day and not make it into a big thing.

Completely understand and it’s a bloody good attitude to have - there are some brilliant rides around there - balcony ride stands out as in of the best - sure we could dig out the gpx if you want

I will be letting them go. No point trying to ride with those 2 goats.

I hope you have another riding partner? Could be a lonely few rides otherwise :headshake:

I think I’ve done 1 ride over 50 miles long this entire year!

Mad the way things turn out really… you might just have to get used to me nattering away in your ear though I’m afraid!

So let me predict something.

Tommy goes chasing after Lee and after 50 miles drops away, Bob finishes strong and overtakes Tommy towards the end, Lee is in the bar already.

As I said to Tommy the other day all the recent studies suggest Tommy has conducted an almost perfect training regime. 1hr minimum Z2 5 days a week, 1 or 2 HIT sessions otherwise known as balls out races. No wonder his ftp went through the roof in Austria recently. He has only missed out on the longer rides at the weekend. So, fortunately, I dont expect to have him nattering away in my ear. ( reminder to self-pack in-ear buds, just in case  )
