Here's the proposed teams for Tuesday's ZRL race:

Team CCC
@Aleman
@DCLane
@JLaw
@Johnsop99
@LeetleGreyCells
@steverob

Team #68
@mjd1988
@Legs
@Girafitti
@bobinski
@straas

Team #23
@peterob
Bridgy
@<Tommy>
@Alongo
@Joffey
@Ketty

Ketty, if you are happy to ride with #23 as proposed, this does leave #68 one rider short of a full 6 man team. So if anyone else is able to ride with #68 on Tuesday night please let us know (@Norry1 ?? @Whorty ??? Anyone??!)

Any problems or queries, please let me or the team captain know ASAP.

Cheers all :thumbsup:

That looks a lovely pint Ian.

I'm seriously thinking about popping down your way to ride the 'Gorge in May - gotta get my week long purgatory in Kent out of the way first but i'm I'm sure the old trout won't mind...

If anyone fancies it May // June time post it up on here. It'll be a laugh. Obviously we'll have a weigh in before an riding starts... WTRL rules ok :laugh:
I think we should post this in our dedicated meetups thread - not used much over the past year for some reason! 😷

I'll post there and we can start discussing logistics!

Afraid I'll be doing my local club Bash again. It nearly killed me last week, so obviously I need to do it again :wacko:

I'm a 50/50 at the moment, depending how tomorrow goes on the house front. My solicitor was on leave this past week and back tomorrow - assuming the whole thing doesn't fall over and I need to go find a rental place then I should be available, but can't confirm until Monday evening/Tuesday morn. Happy to ride in #68 if I can ride .... do I need to sign up for the team as I think I'm only in CCC at the moment as far as I know.

Remember that you pick up some points pretty much just for finishing.

Is is a permissible tactic to soft-pedal everything except the timed segments? I suppose there wouldn’t be a draft, but I’m pretty sure I could turn out a good time on the KOM with nice, fresh legs!

Definitely. 20 points for fastest segment - tricky to pull off as you say as it is variable gradient so there will be some drafting

Is there a sprint too? Not that I'd get any points, but I may be able to help with lead out :okay:

3 of them! https://zwiftinsider.com/route/nyc-kom-after-party/

Wasn't able to get out in the real world this morning so decided to attempt the ZHR 100km Audax on the Tick Tock course.

Finished it in 3:21:02 averaging just over 30 km/h.

Audax is probably my favourite 'discipline' in the world of cycling, and I've done many of the West Country events from the 400km Avalon Sunrise down to the 50km Dean Doddle.
It is a fantastic way to spend the day ( & night ) on a bike and it's simplicity has stood the test of time in spite of the popularity of Sportifs.

I love Audax too. I've entered four calendar events for this year, but the first isn't until July. Looking to do a DIY or two before then.
