I did a 50 miler yesterday - and yes it was blowy. Last 10+ miles was straight into it.

Ah, but the first 10 miles would have been a big tailwind ^_^ Should have gone the other way round :okay:

Thanks for the heads up for Season 3 - I'll be available for a few weeks but if mid-week outdoor track starts I may not be available unless I can persuade SWMBO to take my 16yo.

I imagine many peoples priorities will switch to all things outdoors once the clocks go forward. Hopefully we can get 4 or 5 every week to keep things ticking over if that is the case!

I'll always be up for the Zwift race even if outside weather is good ..... an outside ride in the morning followed by a blast in the evening, what could possibly go wrong

Right chaps, I need some help ....

My watch has broken so I need something new. I could go with a standard 'tells the time' watch but I'm thinking to look at the new fangled things that show my heart rate, blood pressure, flags up I'm about to have a heart attack .... but I'm a bit clueless about what is 'good'. I'm not an Apple fan so not looking at a Apple Watch (I don't have an Apple phone).

Any recommendations?

I had a Garmin Fenix 3HR which was very good until recently. As it was 5 years old it was starting to get buggy and apps were crashing. And as such I have replaced it with a Apple Watch. Gotta say the Apple Watch is a great bit of kit but I would have preferred the Fenix 6. I just went for the Apple as I got a good deal and it's paid for monthly rather than stumping up a good wedge in one go. Now I can spend that wedge on cycling kit for the coming summer outdoor rides ^_^

I bought this super cheap one just to see how the BP works. Amazing how technology trickles down.

if you want silly complicated watch, get a fenix. Got wife one, keeps her quiet for days learning how it works

The woop, hoop, poop device is popular too, subscription to find your heart rate.

I have a fenix 5, does the job. Plenty of different Garmin options depending on how much stuff you want.

If you have apple TV make sure it's compatible with it (Bluetooth)

Agree with this. I have the Fenix 5 plus, have had it for about 8 months and still have no idea how most of it works.
Can monitor sleep/hr etc through the connect app. Can track/navigate rides if head unit fails and that’s about it. Sure it can do a lot more but it’s wasted on me.

I forgot fitbit, bitfit, titfit is subscription too.

Why cant you have a device that you pay for, once! Dont charge twice daily and tells the time. Wish they would just make a watch😄
