I don’t know what part of the world you’re in but in East Staffordshire it’s been drizzly all day - definitely not a day for enjoying springtime in the Great Outdoors.
I had planned to get an hour spin at 8am before the rain and wind hit County Down, but I woke at 9:30 😴😴 which is unlike me and it was chucking it down outside. Tomorrow is looking promising so I’ll need to get my act together and get in a decent 3hrs

Now we are approaching the end of season 2 on WTRL should we aim for a date for the three team shoot out? A/B/C hare and hounds? Not quite sure how we would work out timings mind?!?

As @Whorty said previously Paris is a great course for it.

Poll anyone

Could use one of the TTT routes for this seasons ZRL? Use the times set in the league to base handicaps for the CycleChat shoot out.

I think this is the best option. Should make it easy to workout the staggered timings for a competitive time.

I suggest we pick a date and see who’s available from each team then do whatever course most closely matched those team members. E.g - our team performs v differently with Petetob and <Tommy> and 68 have had quite a bit of chopping/changing too.

What about 9th of March, so the week after the current ZRL ends?

Foot not fixed by steroid Injections so probably going to need another round in a couple of weeks.

Brightside the doctor who did the injection said to try a cycle if it wasn't sore which I took as a greenlight for an all out effort(!) so entered a hare and hounds race in New York circuit. I've slipped down to c as haven't raced in 6 weeks and have had foot issues for 2 months now, so I thought given its a TTT it would be okay to sit in, use it as a test of fitness but not go mad.

Ended up latching onto the a's as they passed and won C group sitting on their coattails. Great fun! Hoping I'm not paying for it tomorrow!

Alpe could have added another 90 minutes? Must be hard to get over the 100km and now that is approaching!

Is that your longest ever turbo session??
I'm pretty sure it is yeah - I think I'd have remembered doing something like this before! 3 hours on the turbo seems so much harder than a 3 hour outdoor ride

9th March is Probably best after the final round of the ZRL as most Cyclechatters will have Tuesdays evenings pencilled in for Zwift. I don’t thinkto may would vote to race Mighty metropolita again and Given that team #23 has brought in two beasts since RGV I’d suggest going off the times set in the final week TTT on Greatest London Flat.

Sounds good - we could use the times from Greatest London Flat and race that course. ZRL will be a good warm up.

What are we going to do about numbers? We have 9 in our CCC squad and I'd imagine we'll all be available...

Or would the much fitter, faster, athletic and superior cyclists in #23 & #68 allow our team of unfit chancers to start with 9

Did I mention my leg/shoulder/back/knee* is hurting and I'm only at 75% fit at the moment. I'll be surprised if I even get around the whole course

Sounds like we have the makings of a plan. I will send a meet-up if that’s the best way to capture us all? Greatest London Flat as the course?
