Just looking at Strava and Zwiftpower for last nights race to see if we could use a real race to time our TT next week.
We sat for 5 minutes in the pen
Zwiftpower time is 1:18:18
StraVa time is 1:12:30
So now we know zwiftpower isn’t fooled by us sitting in the pen.
I also have a missing 48 seconds. I know the race clock doesn’t start until you go through the start banner but that would have been around 5 seconds. It looks like I took 48 seconds or thereabouts from starting pedalling until I got onto the race circuit proper...as per Strava screen grab below.

All very interesting but possibly academic,
I was thinking that we could enter a race, sit out our individual start delays, and use Zwiftpower for official timing minus our start delay. But that relies on everyone starting at their allotted time and no room for mistakes. So I’m thinking it is best to do a private meet up, and use a Zwift Insider Verifies Strava segment as the time keeper.

I'm doing my first TT tonight (real world) since 2011 I think. For a couple of reasons, I'm doing it on my road bike - no aero bars so it will be interesting to see how I get on. I've done 440ish outdoor miles in the last two and a bit weeks, so I shouldn't be road rusty.

How'd you get on @Norry1 ?

the numbers for last night's race are still not processed .... the 'positive' from this might be that Zwift start to own the ZP data and maybe they will start to take racing (and sandbagging) a bit more seriously
My data is now in. My 20min power last night wasn’t far off my 6 week PB. SurprisI fly though it came in the first 20 minutes as soon as Joffey went on his kamikaze breakawa - I was convinced it was gonna be in the start of lap 2 when we were chasing Tommy and Lee.

Shall we ride next Wednesday 22nd for instalment 2 of Our Cyclechat summer series? Answers on a postcard at...https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/JMNY6CZ

So I’ve created this poll at the behest of the race CEO.

In our poll a few weeks ago fortnightly was the most popular but we all love a poll Plus last night brought about a good buzz....so to see if people are interested in racing again next week I’ve created a simple question...just vote on how likely/interested you are in racing next week.

Race format to be an individual time trial with everyone on TT bikes - so there is no draft benefit. Course is to be decided but unlikely to be Bologna as we can’t do that in a meet up.
we will start in reverse order of the results last night with 30 second gaps Between racers.

I'd be happy with next Wednesday but could it be 19:00 instead...?

Cheers Al. I wonder how they work out the times for the ttt on Thursdays. Or do they just depend on everyone starting on their correct times. It’ll be a shame to go back to the meet up function

On a side note I just noticed that there were 4 zsun riders in the top 5 for the last race. Just thought I’d mention it in case no one else noticed... :cuppa:
I Thought noticed one particular Zsun rider interfering with the chase When you and Lee were up the road. getting on the front then taking the foot off. 🙄😀

Still not updated for me ... I raised this with Sticky last night so he may have re-set off the update. Seems though that updates for lots of races is very slow at the moment!

Did you see my question about using the Cycling Weekly TT event for our TT? Might that be easier?

I've answered no to next Wednesday, but only because we're off to France on holiday (generally I'm very much more a "turn up to the opening of an envelope" kind of guy!)
