Just looking at Strava and Zwiftpower for last nights race to see if we could use a real race to time our TT next week.
We sat for 5 minutes in the pen
Zwiftpower time is 1:18:18
StraVa time is 1:12:30
So now we know zwiftpower isn’t fooled by us sitting in the pen.
I also have a missing 48 seconds. I know the race clock doesn’t start until you go through the start banner but that would have been around 5 seconds. It looks like I took 48 seconds or thereabouts from starting pedalling until I got onto the race circuit proper...as per Strava screen grab below.
All very interesting but possibly academic,
I was thinking that we could enter a race, sit out our individual start delays, and use Zwiftpower for official timing minus our start delay. But that relies on everyone starting at their allotted time and no room for mistakes. So I’m thinking it is best to do a private meet up, and use a Zwift Insider Verifies Strava segment as the time keeper.
