I Only used erg and learnt to anticipate and spin up to power as the interval hit. I didn’t always get it right but the more I did blender or butter or 14 vice grips the easier I found it to anticipate. Unlike zwift TP’s you don’t get penalised if you miss a peak. So I didn’t see it as a failure if I couldn’t control the power quickly enough and strangely that left me more relaxed and possibly better able to do so.
