Two things for today.

First, I'm not going to be able to make DBR tomorrow. Hits a meeting and I can't reasonably excuse myself again.

Second, did the crit city short race this morning -- I needed one more short race to hit my effort goals this week. Not much to report as it was a pretty standard 8 lap crit city race, took silver. I must have been quite steady. Watts: 230 NP 230W VI 0% and still just a hair under cat limits. If I lose any more weight or come up with just a few more watts I'll get bumped back up to C.

We'll be thinking of you on our team victory lap (or 3 laps) tomorrow night! :okay: We have the team comp sewn up unless DBR enter about 10 riders tomorrow :becool:

Looking at all these set ups I need to get myself a rocker plate made. Is there a link on CChat to some easy instructions?

You can build a half for less than £100 and a full for around £100 if you use cheaper grade of 18mm ply.

If you're handy, expect a day of work doing it yourself

I spotted a full rocker made in the UK for £295.

Anyone else watching the charity hare and hounds race on Zwift tonight?

Just tuned in on YouTube as a fluke. Sports stars like Ryan Giggs, Maro Itoje, Darren Gough, Kevin Pietersen and others being chased down by none other than Chris Froome!

Co-commentary from Romesh Ranganathan. Matt Stephens for a bit of pro commentary.

i moved into our spare room In January after buying the Neo. I didn’t like the thought of it sitting in a cold garage, just waiting to be stolen along with my bikes. Here it is. i do not normally have the Harrogate decorations in place but I had this set up for a live FTP test with the team - all for a bit of fun. ^_^

When i door indoor rides on a summer in my pain cave i could use a second fan as well. There is a freestanding freezer next to me but better keep it closed.

Has anyone tried or currently using Trainer Road? If not, any other platforms e.g sufferfest or TrainingPeaks?

I am thinking of trying something in addition to Zwift to help with structured training (thinking for Autumn/Winter). I did a structured programme from a book recently and got on well with it. I often watch or listen to the Trainer Road podcasts which is why I’m looking at their platform. It seems quite scientific and you can build plans around events which I’m keen on.

I use TR alot, well did. I think it's the best dedicated structured platform.

I run TR and Zwift simultaneously. TR controls the turbo, Zwift is for visual stimulation on long sessions. TR sits at the bottom of the screen in narrow view

If you're doing HIT workouts, then I use TR alone because it requires concentration on the interval

Watched it - it was also broadcast on Sky Sports!

Was pretty interesting, but they had a major fail in that people didn't realise that they needed to stop pedalling after the first rider left the pens, so everyone started cruising out of the start early. It meant that at the time some riders were supposed to be released, they were already in the underwater tunnel.
