Done a 51 mile in the sun. Sorry to miss you guys but I need to make the most of the good weather. Good luck all.

Understandable

Your earphones working now? Gonna be on Discord tonight?
I’ve got a new pair, not used them yet but they connect up ok , so will give it a go . I rode the 2 lap Yorkshire course on Sat , put in a full beans race effort , it’s a tough course. I’ve been doing a bit of VO2 work and over / under intervals recently and it really paid off well . The course is up and down all the time and seems like you’re above threshold going uphill and at threshold trying to hold on to the group on the downhills . It was an open category event so didn’t matter if I went over w/kg , so I went full gas and ended up with 4.2w/kg , will have to watch average tonight if I’m going well .

3 sandbaggers in C now plus a lady at 4 w/kg (but classed as C). One is the rider Winthur who rode the race last week. Looking at their numbers they will lose us easily on the KoM - question is I guess, will they take some genuine C riders with them and give them an advantage?

Nice work. Sounds like you are borderline A now. Thought you had been going well in recent races :okay:

Did you use supertuck much? Some of the downhills are quite steep.

I've never raced it..... but I did go watch the Women's World Championships there this year. My viewing spot was half way up Parliament Street (the hill leading to the finish line) so I can picture myself cheering me on when I pass it today
I watched it on the Otley Road section , did you stay for the mens race @Norry1 , we went home due to the horrendous weather forecast . Managed to have a casual ride round the course and I ca t imagine how hard it must have been to do as many laps as the male pros did in that weather .

I found that it was taking too long from stopping pedalling to going into the tuck that I just kept pedalling . Not sure how this works , does the flywheel have to lose all its inertia before it registers zero watts ?

Sadly it's just a game. Ask Thomas Dghent what he thinks. There will always be more cheating than real life. I bet if I entered a C I'd have no chance of winning.

I did see his comment the other day  I've also watched Alex Dowsett's Zwift races on youtube - worth a watch if anyone is interested. Always nice to see that the Pros suffer in these races the same as we do ^_^
