It may not be a massive difference, but it might just be enough of a difference between holding onto, and losing the wheel in front. There are a few sections on Box that allows for drafting, so holding on to wheels will have an advantage. I'm a lighter rider (compared to most C riders) so I'm hoping I can get away with a more aero set-up with lighter wheels, rather than say going full Tarmac lightweight. Heavier riders tonight may have a better chance with a lightweight bike/wheels set up just to give them that slight advantage on the 12 mins of Box Hill climbing :okay:

May be absolute bollox, but that's my personal view :okay:

Agree. Zwiftinsider has run a tonne of tests and will tell you exactly how much a wheelset change will help on a climb or on the flat but that's based in a solo effort. In reality being able to hold onto a group may only need 1% more effort on a hill but by then drafting your time will be much faster, and psychologically knowing that you have the fastest bike helps me (until you get overtaken by someone on a mountain bike)

Job done - I have gone Spesh Tarmac Pro and the Meilenstein lightweight wheels.

I'm an all green kind of guy in these races  Including the cap.

Tough choice.

I reckon the race will take about 50 minutes - and climbing Box Hill will twice will be about 16 minutes of that, which is a fair proportion. Add in the sharp ramp out of the underground I think a lightweight setup will be best.

What is making the difference in result times, is Boxhill, my PR is well over 8mins. The underground ramp, I just throw lots of Watts and muscle up it.

Would the bell helmet give you any extra advantage in Zwift
No.

It's compulsory to wear shorts when racing and keep your bell helmet hidden!

Climbing is my strength, so I'm selecting a frame/wheels combo that will hopefully give me a chance of staying with a group on the flats without loosing too much on the climb.

I'm going Cervelo S5 and Zipp 858. Both are in the top three for speed on the flats, and just over half way on the speed league for climbs.

Hopefully this will work out. Will be awkward if I get dropped on the climb now
Is the tron no good on climbs then?
