Correct. If someone is in the correct ZP cat, and racing in that cat, then I personally have no issue with that. For C it means they will be racing in the 2.5 - 3.2 w/kg band and hence C racers will be able to compete competitively. I'll never know if they have 'lost' 25kg to get to a weight to ride to that w/kg, so why worry?
The new algorithm will tighten up the rules even more.
For me, it really is that simple.
I just don't want B riders in a C race as they will go off fast, dragging along the top C riders thus giving them an extra advantage; and that comes from a C rider who would be able to hang on to these B's and get an advantage. We had this last Monday; it was called out that out group had 2 B's in there and it was me who was messaging them asking them to sit in the group and not pull us as it was giving us a slight advantage over the chasing group. Thankfully they did respond and did (mostly) stop their pulling, then when we hit the KoM they pulled away from us.
I must be very stupid because I am utterly confused by your posts. One minute it’s life is too short etc and peeps can drop weight within their cat to race in their cat and yet you don’t want a different cat rider messing up your cat races? As if they are different .the rider in your cat who has dropped his weight is messing up your race, taken a place perhaps from other riders, possibly even a podium place.
We will have to disagree.
For me it’s simple.
Get your weight right within a 1- 2 kilo range- weekly weigh ins?
Race in the right cat and don’t sandbag.
Life is too short for this to continue- see you all on zwift👍😁 I will be wearing ZsunR colours.
