pedals are easiest to transfer to other bikesI'm torn between pedals or crank ..... probably won't pull the trigger just yet so no rush to make a decision.

I keep thinking of going this route.I love my Powertap pedals. Really easy swap between bikes and work like a dream. Just wish they would read a bit higher
Do you use a pair or single sided?I love my Powertap pedals. Really easy swap between bikes and work like a dream. Just wish they would read a bit higher
One good option is Favero Assioma power pedals. Not for sure is there much difference which one is better, not much difference with price either.I keep thinking of going this route.
I'd need to change to Look cleats. It probably sounds daft but that's put me off as I've worn Shimano SPD-SL for years and I keep thinking that someone is bound to make power pedals compatible with SPD-SL. But they don't
I should really just bite the bullet and get on with it
I've looked at Assioma's but the reviews seemed a bit mixed. One good option is Favero Assioma power pedals. Not for sure is there much difference which one is better, not much difference with price either.
Also Shane Miller is used Assioma pedals but also Powertap and i think Quarq DZero's as well. GPLama is done some comparisons too with Powertap and Assioma power pedals. Those comparisons are also just a comparing power readings to other power meters not much more.I've looked at Assioma's but the reviews seemed a bit mixed.
I think @IrishAl uses them? Wonder what he thinks?

Nothing to hand but when I was looking at power pedals I came across a few people complaining about (I think) battery covers and a lack of accuracy/unreliability.Where are the bad reviews of the Assioma DUOs??
Quarq an Power2Max prices are not bad if you need to buy only a spider but sure if power pedals pleases more they are not bad option at all.If I were to buy another power meter it’d be peddles I think. At the moment I have quarq spider on one bike and power2max on another. But I got them a couple of years back at least when the pedals got very mixed reviews with accuracy. But if I were buying today I think I’d get assioma dual sided pedal. They seem very accurate and much cheaper than the other two I have. My only slight reservation is they’re a bit more vulnerable in a crash.
Del I have look and shimano pedals. The shimano pedals work a bit better generally but I think the cleats themselves are very similar.
There are no battery covers on Assiomas. The Garmin Vectors on the other hand, oh dear….Nothing to hand but when I was looking at power pedals I came across a few people complaining about (I think) battery covers and a lack of accuracy/unreliability.
Yup, Assiomas are rechargeable. There are no battery covers on Assiomas. The Garmin Vectors on the other hand, oh dear….
Not had any issues with my vectors to date (v2).There are no battery covers on Assiomas. The Garmin Vectors on the other hand, oh dear….
