Well done sir
Hey! Load that London route on Bkool!! It could be a great starting point to entice you stray lambs back to the fold. It’s tough to choose what to wear this time of year. arms and leg warmers are good because you can whip them off as you get warmer. The maybe a short sleeved jersey with a base layer underneath. Then again if you’re using the cc jersey with any luck the constant burny itchy feeling should warm you up a bit! 😄
Yeah I commute on the fixed gear. I’m still working at the moment and I might use one of my summer bikes for a change because it’s so deserted where I’m based I don’t have to worry about it being tampered with. I’ve built the blue bike up so maybe I’ll give that a test ride next week
I cycle straight through the middle of central London, through the west end and Whitehall, along the embankment passed mi5 and the Tate, and over Vauxhall’s bridge. In fact I pick up a bit of the zwift London route along the way. I have a go pro and I should really film my journey one day soon. It might be a bit boring to the majority but I think it’s worth recording just because of unique circumstances. It’s also quite funny comparing to zwift maybe. The roads aren’t quite as silky smoove and I’ve yet to be cheered on as I go around parliament square. Any day now though...
London is unrecognisable to anyone familiar with its bustling nature. There are still cars and people on the streets. But I pass dozens instead of the usual thousands along the way.
I’ve taken to skipping multiple lights on normally busy intersections along my commute as they’re now completely deserted. Something I would never do under normal circumstances. But the only creatures around to tut and judge me are the local pigeon population. Strange times...
Motivation need to be on a good level to ride that kind of long indoor ride. For me it's almost impossible task, i need at least a summer vacation to ride that long because for me it's take some time to recover from my shift work, it doesn't happen in 3 or 4 days which is my regular day off, i need at least a week.Well I completed it ,thanks Carl for the words of encouragement and Berty who rode we me up Box and gave me a spurt on , I had plans to stop at lap 4 and 8 for 15 mins but that did not work out , stopped lap 4 for the loo and to check on Christine but she had got up and was using the bathroom so back on the bike, got off end of lap 5 and checked on Christine and managed to get my toilet break, changed my bib shorts but had run out of but cream☹.
Felt good when back on the bike so just rode to the end 6hrs 12 minutes and 27 seconds to do the 108 miles so well chuffed
Bkool!!!Well I can’t remember doing that ! Amazing what your mind can block out
How about those of us who have a GoPro do a 20 miler video it and put it on to ride virtually somehow - I have one knocking about somewhere
Must be some way of doing it so we can ride each other’s course ?
Did you check your weight before and after a session?.I set quite a few 30 day PB's on the companion app but nothing on Strava, just had a protein shake , chocolate biscuit and a youghart and don't feel bad at all ,just a bit sore on the sit bones

So far. Our projections are Alaska will peak in early June. The delay is because everyone flying in had to self quarantine for 14 days. At work we've been getting old ventilators out of storage and scrambling for anticipated needed supplies. Because we couldn't handle a surge of the curve wasn't flattened I am going to say Thank you Everybody for your sacrifices to help flatten it.I really should have a go on bkool... I need to set it up on the laptop is the only thing stopping me. That and the fact I am a lazy lazy man...
How you doing Randy? I’m hoping Sitka remains a covid free zone.
Some of my old London routes are on there in 3D mode (i think - or maybe still in map only). A couple of my routes from West End to BeckenhamHey! Load that London route on Bkool!! It could be a great starting point to entice you stray lambs back to the fold.
