Massive feck. Transferring wife to wheelchair from bed this morning my back went. Ended floor for 30 mins not being able to move Thankfully docs here are really helpful and they are trying to get emergency care to us as I can't walk at the moment, let alone care for the wife. If they can't find someone asap they may take my wife away and put her in hospital until I'm better .... not a good day in the Whorty household!

Update ... absolutely no help. Emergency carers team contacted us but they have no carers available, and no space in their care homes. We were passed on to social services who have offered nothing so far. We could take up a hospital bed but this just isn't right. We need to just 'cope' as best we can now ... hopefully I can get wife into bed tonight but back is totally shot! Doc gave me codeine and diazepam so hoping these kick in at some stage but I'm currently taking double dose and not much happening.

A little frustrating and a bit of a worry.

Hope a good night's sleep might help a bit.

dont know if it will help,but have you been in touch with your wife’s MS nurse or local MS Society to see if they can offer any help or ideas

Really bad news Carl. I would of thought with those drugs you would be away with the fairies. I remember taking codiene, best nights sleep Ive had. I suppose it depends on strength of drug

Funny enough my wife had a spasm last week that settled overnight with diazepam and codeine so here is hoping, although she was fairly floored by 2mg of diazepam

I'm on 2x2mg of diazepam, and 2x50mg of codeine and it's hardly touching me! I'm slightly more mobile today which is a good job as we had absolutely no help yesterday. OT called this morning and is trying to get us a mobile hoist today, but then they want to install ceiling hoists in all rooms for longer term, which neither wife or I are that keen on. My poor wife is not having it good and the last thing she needs is me not being at 100%.
