I was told on here I’m not in B cat for not doing enough normal races.
I’m looking forward to the C.C races which are designed into the worlds, with everyone starting at the same time.
If you do races in Zwift organised by others, and ZP has you as B, then if you don't join B cat you will get DQ'd. This is why I always join the correct cat as I like to see my result and stats in ZP. As Tommy says though, for our races/meet ups, the cats don't have any relevance ..... one league, everyone competing the same.

We just need to keep these races on the flat so that you don't get the weight advantage  But then, on the flats, the power boys trash me  Bugger, I'm just average at everything

Looks like I won't be doing Stage 7. Wasn't able to do it during the week due to IRL rides and the like, so thought with the bank holiday, I'd save it for the make up week. Log on to ZwiftPower and find the only time today was at MIDNIGHT! The next one I could have made (e.g. not during working hours) would have been Thursday evening, but by then my subscription will have run out and the course is too long to do on the free 25km.

Considering the first make up week had SO MANY events scheduled, I can't see why they've got so few this time round?

They may add some more times, but you're right, compared to previous tours there have been less options for people to ride these stages.

I’ve never been DQ’d in my life, who ever did the results must have just put me in C.
We need more hills but I need to work on flat power. Could do with a rest day now. :P

If you did a few C races you would be DQ'd quite quickly. Its your W/Kg that puts you well into B cat.

I need to make up stage 3 ans stage 5. Same as you @steverob the times barely suit - today i really wanted a rest day plus with it being the bank holiday it would have been nice to have the day off but the only time all week that suits me to do stage 5 is tonight at 8pm. Hey ho. I need a good finish to this stage to be in with a chance of a top 100 finish in the ToW league.

I won’t finish ToW. Whatever limited riding I do this week will be IRW in anticipation of ToC. I might spin low gears on turbo a few evenings and then join a race for the experience of a full on 10-20 minute blast from the pen but no more.

@TurboTommy @bobinski @theboxers been looking around at custom bike builders and came across Saffron Framebuilders - know anything about them? http://www.saffronframeworks.com/

I certainly like the idea of a 1X groupset so maybe this isn't a bad idea to investigate further.

Too much choice :banghead:
You're right there.

I've looked at the likes of Mason (lovely bikes and the Ti frame looks the nuts ) and a few others, as well as going custom (my dream bike was a Roberts of Croydon , but unfortunately they are in hiatus and may not return).

You need to workout what your main uses will be and buy accordingly. That's why I went with the Cube in the end. I have a hybrid, flat bar, 3 by and a gravel drop bar, 2 by bike. The Cube e-bike fit in with what I was looking for at the time.

You seem to be wanting an endurance / climbing bike, but it's not my money so buy whatever takes your fancy.

Very limited for use unless you go for huge rear cass. The bike is either a great climber/gravel bike or good road bike cant really be both. without a double on the front
1 by systems are great if you know exactly what you'll be doing, but otherwise are too limiting IMO. I've got a big cassette on the rear by using a hanger extender. Once set correctly it will work fine. I'm running a 52/36 with an 11-42 xt cassette. I get the odd mis-shift but it is very rare and usually down to my poor setup. I can climb most of what I encounter where I live on this, except the silly 17% stuff just down the road.

Happy hunting for your new bike. It takes me ages to decide to actually buy once I chosen what I want. I always seem to want the next best/newest/inovative thing to come along. I hope you are quicker to decide than I.

I'm not completely up on terminology, but what I'm probably after is an endurance bike that is light (ish ... anything around 8kg would be fine) to help me get up the little lumps in the UK, and fast (ish, but nothing too aggressive as I don't think my body will appreciate that). For me looks is important so don't want a 'boring' looking bike. Disc brakes probably worth it for me as I don't like going down hill too fast! Ability to have 28c tyres welcome. Quiet fancy whooshy wheels. Any def still interested in 1x gearing (I looked at the 3T Strada but looks wise not really for me). I get a 1x will be a compromise, but it may suit me.

A pro team ran with the 3T 1by bikes (Aqua Blue Sport by the looks of it after a google search) from what I read/viewed it did not go as well as hoped.

If you looking at Bianchis’s then you have described the new Infinito CV disc

The oltre is their aero race machine, so pretty aggressive and stretched out.

Carl what gears do you use when going up Alpe with 100% setting?
.
If you're on the inner chainring 34t and something like 28 or 32 t rear cog.

Then the equivalent ratio with lets say a 46t single chainring would need 42rear cog
