I was expecting the final to be back over Tower Bridge so I thought I had a chance to attempt a chase on the flats after the underground tunnel, but then we started climbing again!!!!! I was thinking, what the feckI was looking at the wrong seg.
You closed almost a full min down on me in the last few k, I had to stop soft pedalling.
I was just desperate then to get to the end

My time was 1:17:26. If everyone posts their Strava segment time here I’ll update the league table in the morning.
Legs didn’t have the zip tonight. But despite that I was pleased I was able to tap out a steady tempo from start to finish. Thanks for keeping me company for a lot of the ride tonight @TurboTommy - until you disappeared up the final hill.

I think that course can flatter to deceive a bit, but I do feel better than a few weeks ago.
