decided to take the plunge and get a different back disc brake on a cannondale synapse and maybe using that as the tourer
i am going for TRP spyre but they do 2 different sorts
a flat mount and a post mount - it looks like i want the flat mount but just wondered if you would know

Rears are usually flat mount but not always. Take a photo. The best mechanical are the Hydro-combo brakes. The link has a pictures and the first one is post mount. Agreed. I’d prob get the 1 over the 2 as well. Just because of the price vs difference I think favours the 1. If you’ve got the budget to get the neo bike then maybe put the rest of the money into a new bike at some point if you fancy one.

Kickr is working again this morning, now it's cooled down. So at least I have a bit of procrastination time. HID said I should buy the NEO and who am I to argue. Need to call up Halfords to see what they have in stock and see if they will install the cassette off the Kickr for me.

If buying from Halfords look at buying Halfords vouchers from one of the discount sites and using cycling UK or British cycling card ,I saved well over £200 on my Neo 2 doing it that way

No - couldn't find any extra discounts online. Just the 10% BC discount which I'll get when I pay in store.

Could have gone NEO 1 and saved £300+ but I figured I'd go new tech to hopefully future proof it a bit. We'll see I guess
