Mudguard doesn’t really matter, there’s no chain

At least I won't get chain oil on my trousers.

Well, that didn't pan out as hoped...
does a thread title in capitals count as a fail?

very nifty edit there OP!
Captions were on purpose for shouty irony...

I suspect that Triban has been there a while. As you say, no chain, a flat rear tyre, mudgard out of place
It's not been there forever but maybe a few weeks. I assumed it was a staff member's at the shop, although it's been there consistently and yes; the lack of chain suggests it's not moved for a while. Tyre's not flat however and I suspect the guard's only like that because it was fitted incorrectly..

It has moved today, but only about its original fixing so potentially through interfered with by a third party. While budget it looks reasonably well-specced and at one point well-cared for; perhaps the chain snapped and the owner locked it up never to return...?

The Triban in the first pic very much fits with "You're doing it wrong". Slammed(ish) stem, high saddle, guards and those pedals? Very random.

I'd agree with some of that, although it strikes me more as something bourne out of practicality on a budget. Other than that guard obviously - there's no excuse for that

So, adults don't ride mountain bikes in the UK? They do in the States.
Indeed they do. I didn't understand that post!
