I could definitely scoff that healthy food down. 🤣

It’s tough looking after yourself. But I’m game…..

Today's mooch:

4.5 miles @ 3.2mph moving speed - took longer than it should have as I had 3 nice chats with different people en-route.

Kendal in the distance:

Another sheep pic' for Mrs SD - I love to eat lamb but it is not allowed in our house!

Ugly necessity. Wouldn't happen in eg Richmond Park! Economies of lack of scale to expensively route underground no doubt:

Distant views of Crinkle Crags & the Langdale Pikes:

Was this one of our CC brethren I wonder?

Not sure how to mark my route here, but when I was up north last week, I walked (in various stages, due to doing other things, seeing as I was on holiday) from the lighthouse at Stoer, along the coast, staying as close to the edge as sensibly possible, to the beach at Clashnessie.

Right round the headland, Stoer Lighthouse, The Old Man Of Stoer... Culkein, Achnacarnin, Clashnessie.

No idea of actual mileage, it was not exactly massive, but the 'inny and outy' nature of the coast will have added on extra milage. I also had to do quite a bit of climbing at various points.

Today's effort - 5.4 miles at moving speed of 3.2 mph.

Conditions were very hot but breezy with it.

This field was still damp with early morning dew.

Nice little Tarn with Swan and 6 Cygnets - couldn't get near enough to photograph them.

Horse - a real live one; although he wasn't interested in coming over and talking to me. ^_^

Scout Scar, Kendal, way off in the distance where my lovely dog's ashes are scattered.

Aforementioned lovely dog with well over 200 mountain days racked up in his 12 years with me. Posing here on Ill Crag, Scafell Massif one banging hot 14 mile day in June 2005. I still miss him. 😥
