Well that's the third ride completed!
10 miles.

I took a slightly different route, still couldn't beast the hill on the way back so did the walk of shame up it...
It's only a walk of shame if you've got the energy to go further but can't be bothered to put the effort in. If you can get further than last time then chapeau! But if you're tired and can't get as far, then don't count it as a defeat.

I was going to go for another recovery ride last night but I got a text from a mate and went for a fast 33.5 miles with him and exorcised a few demons. I probably pushed a little too hard as my calf testifed in the morning but thankfully its only reverted to the state it was the day before yesterday and should be fine for the weekend

Chucked the knobblies on the MTB this morning and hent for muddy fun. It's a great local ride of around 27 miles, of which 12 miles is off road and the remainder is on very quite C roads. From Carlise it heads out to nr Sebergham an then returns closely following the River Caldew, crossing it 6 times in doing so via Bell, Bog, Highwath, Bridge End, White and Bousted Grassing bridges on the way. However in July 2012 Bog Bridge got washed out during a hell of a storm.... but it got replace a month or so ago so this is the first chance I've had to use it .

Banana stop 1 - Bell bridge, which dates from 1772

2hr 40mins for the ride, and just short of 2 hours cleaning all the mud off everything. All in all a good day :thumbsup)

Hill Wimp

Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
A foggy start to a lovely 50 mile ride in Kent with 2 tea stops. Started in Yalding looking over the fields towards Marden

climbing up to Goudhurst for tea and a couple of Gingerbreadmen. Then through the back lanes towards Horsmonden where i came upon this er "Grand Design". Apologies if anybody on here has any connection to this house but my personal take on it is that in this beautiful location it's a carbuncle.

Best description I've heard for something like that is a 'Helicopter House' because its like its just been dropped in the landscape, it just doesn't fit!

I think that must have been designed by the same chap who designed these industrial units in Shrewsbury.;)
