Superb fitness is definitely not available this week ^_^

Its all about the ride, forget fitness, speed and distance. I did this morning and i am so miffed i had to get back.

The start of the ride this morning next to a lovely watermill ( honest it's there ) had to move sharpest though as the water falling made me want to go to the loo.

It was beautiful, sunny and warm but this cow didn't think so. He must have been baking sitting on this pile of poo

Well happy with ride today. Got to a new high speed so close to 40mph.

My new target is to get this ride downto 6 hours. Enjoyed the dual carriageway...

It's so much nicer riding when you get out of the smelly world of London.Good weather also. I was really struggling thru the new Forrest 90miles in but someone overtook me and I tried to keep up which helped 5miles go quicker.

My knee is screwed now so going to take a week off the bike

Nice green field and the stupid Moo sits on a dung heap ,ooh bit of barbed wire wrapped around the gate to catch the gusset of an unsuspecting cyclist of for a quick pee break.

Lovely bike, it was on display in my LBS and a part of me did wish I was in the market for a new road bike haha

Thanks is is a dream to ride, i am so glad i took a colleagues advice and got it as my first road bike. I couldn't be parted from it for any money but i would definitely recommend it to any females wanting a very uncomplicated, comfortable ride.^_^

A short tandem 27km this morning before it got too hot (the weatherman was right for once, it is now 32°C in the shade :heat:)
Just our usual short route with a variation thrown in, past the 'triffid'.

Managed to sustain 40km/hr on the flat for 2km on the way back and passed a nice field of flowers

Just a short ride into Oxford to upgrade my mobile phone. Unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere to lock the bike up in Oxford and after 30 mins walking around I gave up. So it wasn't a complete wasted journey, I went home via Cowley Road and dropped into the bike shop and purchased a new more comfortable saddle for the up coming New Forest ride. Excellent service as they even fitted it without any extra charge and if I don't like get on with it I can change it for another one within 30 day.

Today was a nice 50km at 30km/hr avg a couple of short but steep hills thrown in a always nothing amazing really but what was funny was my ride to work last tues. evening. As I rode into the town there is a right turn for traffic coming against me. The approach for me is down hill and its just after a wide bend in the road. Obviously I have right of way as traffic wishing to turn right must cross my path. As I approach the top of the hill (dropping into the town) I become aware of a car approaching from behind.....the driver kindly and wisely holds back and gives me plenty of room as its not a great spot to overtake. Suddenly a lady indicating to turn right just goes for it I have to brake hard as does she and I end up right in front of her I had to get off my bike to avoid a collision with her bumper. I give her a look but realise no harm was done wave my hand and cycle on only for the same thing to happen about 150 meters later at another turn!!!!! I reckon the driver behind me gave me too much space and the traffic approaching to turn across my path decided to go for it so as not to have to wait for the cars behind me to pass. In fairness having to wait would have caused a delay for them of approx 10 seconds. Always ride like they are out to get you because last tuesday evening they certainly were/

Will do!!
Yes it was a funny one. I've never seen the likes of it. Maybe something was in the air the last few days. The previous Sunday morning at around 5:45 as I rode along the country road part of my commute I noticed a huge number of rats on the road. There was a huge number of them, theres often a couple of them scurrying into the ditch as I approach but last Sun. morn was just weird and they were allot further out onto the road than normal. Must have been a truck spilling grain or something had passed along. Strange few days on the bike.
