A bit of a gusty 12.5 miler today, got soaked by se twunt in a land rover who drove fast throught a large puddle and soaked me. A witness told me where lives, so sometime soon the land rover will get a visit from the puncture fairy. Apart form that it was a nice ride. I've got to get some longer rides in, I seem to have lost my momentum since falling off the ladder.

After 76 Miles yesterday morning with Potsy and 400bhp, I went out for a 16.5 mile interval ride. Good fun but hard work into the wind which seemed to be blowing in multiple directions. ^_^

A wee pootle yesterday, after fitting a new saddle (thanks, Bikepacker of this parish), made even more enjoyable because the the birds sung, the sun shone, and for once a warm breeze was blowing. Anyone would think it was spring round here - so different from the freezing temperatures last week. Daffodils, lambs and a woodpecker were seen. Even some gardening was undertaken. After fettling the bike this morning, a couldn't resist another pootle, so off I went, on the same route as yesterday - but oh! it was windy! It made my :cuppa: afterwards even more enjoyable, although there was a shortage of cake and biscuits.

20 miles (a new record for me) along the paved canals on my road bike. Another gorgeous day out!

15 miles after putting off going out all day. Wish I'd went earlier and gone further. Managed my first strava top tens and pb'd the routes I'd done before.bit miffed at a guy passing me with no greeting, or is that normal behaviour?

My first thought too, but this was black and white on the back, rather than brown. A distant and fleeting glimpse, so not completely positive, but I feel Lesser Pecker was ~90% sure; I've seen a few locally - Treecreeper is the 10% possibility - and receding......but still not sure enough to report it to LROS as a certain sighting. I may return to the area to do some serious searching, but I've only this week managed to clean the clag off my shoes!

Unfortunately, for some people that is normal behaviour. Don't let it bother you, it'll make you appreciate the friendly ones more.

I'm feeling a bit self righteous today. I have ridden 21 mile bike ride this very early morning. The sun was out, the dafs are out, the cherry blossom is starting to flower on the trees, and the hedgerows are slowly turning green and the lambs were snuggling up to each other in the fields. All is well with the world.

How long before some twunt pi$$es me off today?
